He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph R. Powell Sr. and Virginia Ruth Beam Powell; his parents-in-law, Glen (Pop) and Virginia Hibbard; his brother-in-law Chet Heady; and his nephews, Jonathan Heady and Scott Dickens.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Hibbard Powell; his daughters, Lisa Law Powell Stewart (Chris) of Dayton, Ohio and Sabrina Ruth Powell Yee (Eric) of Kenosha, Wisconsin; his sister Sue Heady of Meadowbrook, Alabama; and his siblings-in-law, Dean and Ann Hibbard Dickens of Nixa, Missouri. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nephew and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to a charity of personal choice.
