He was predeceased by: his parents, William Walton and Virginia Mumford Walton; and his siblings, Roberta Loveland, Clayton Walton, Harold Walton, Jenny Gould, Loetta Cloud, Ed Walton and Jerry Walton.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Walton of Ozark, MO; his sons, Eric Walton (Cassandra) of Colorado Springs, CO and Travis Walton (Tammy) of Springfield, MO; his sister Sandra Walton of Elkland, MO; his grandchildren, Kaihosha, Kareem, Kohana, Taylor, Dakota, Kira and Hunter; his nephews, Terry Cloud, Greg Walton and Shannon Walton; his cousins, Sharon Benton, Linda Rouhani and Lesa Mumford; and his siblings-in-law, Jeannette Walton, Alice Walton, Peggy Davis (Mike), Mary Vaughan (John) and David Litwiller (Suzette).
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Leon's memory to either Wounded Warrior Project or to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
