She was predeceased by: her son Robert Ballard; her children-in-law, Tiffany Ballard and John Scott Jr.; her grandson Collin Bettis; her parents, Milford Smith and Mayme Holmes Smith; and her brother David Smith.

She is survived by: her husband Don Larry Ballard; her children, Donnie Ballard (Sherry Ballard), Jeff Ballard (Marsha Ballard), Mike Ballard and Ammie Scott Motes (Shawn Motes); her sister Laverna Williamson; her grandchildren, Nichole Pichler, Brandon Thomas, Kendra Johnston, Elora Ballard, Kara Call, Alyssa Ballard, Miranda Kerckhoff, Josh Ballard, John Robert Scott, Brittany Ballard, McKenzie Scott, Margo Motes, Macy Ballard, Colton Ballard and Madi Ballard; and her great grandchildren, Frankie Pichler, Skyler Thomas, Clayton Kerckhoff, Harper Mihlfeld, Magnolia McEntire, Ella Pichler, Denver Thomas, Emmett Kerckhoff, Daxon Pender, Vera Kerckhoff and Jaiden Johnson.
