He was predeceased by: his mother Helen Tate (Rantz); and his brother Charles Tate. He is survived by: his father Bob Tate; his close friend Sandy Byrd; his sons, Josh Tate (Michelle), Ben Tate (Sarah) and Ryan Tate (Shelby); and his grandchildren, Paige Tate, JD Tate, Veneta Tate, Bennett Tate (Dude), Reagan Tate, Reese Tate, Brayden, Brantley, Tatum, Everett McCandless and Jayden Davidson.
