He was predeceased by: his father Paul Spurgeon; his brother William "Billy" Spurgeon; and his brother-in-law Kenneth Eugene Durbin. He is survived by: his mother Delores Spurgeon (Chapman) of Virginia; his wife Tina Durbin; his children, Mercedes Barton (Mitchell) of Nebo, Ill, William and Austin Spurgeon of Owensville; and his sisters, Sandy Mitchell (Scott) of Cuba and Sheryl Mertz (Chris) of Bland.
Burial will be in Licklider Cemetery on Hwy F. Memorials requested for family's choice.
