He was predeceased by: his parents, Amedie and Malena; his son Nathan Noel; and his sister Linda Leleaux. He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Lisa Shepard and Clint Noel; his stepchildren, Melinda Michael, Matthew Ruff, Mark Ruff, Marcia Ruff and Michael Ruff; his grandchild Daja Noel; and his sisters, Jeanette Stelly, Wanda Noel and Delores Trahan (Linest). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many other friends and relatives.
