He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Schaefferkoetter and Orella Schaefferkoetter (Willimann); his wife Rose Marie; his son Dennis; and his siblings, Bob, Raymond and Darleen Gooch.

He is survived by: his sons, Kenny Schaefferkoetter (Shelley) of Owensville and Bob Schaefferkoetter (Deborah) of Washington; and his siblings, Benny Schaefferkoetter (Martha) of High Ridge, Margaret Harrison of DeSoto and Harvey Schaefferkoetter of Utah. He is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
