He was predeceased by: his mother Georgia McCarthy; his stepfather Edwin McCarthy; his wife Marsha E. Ousley; and his son Patrick W. Ousley. He is survived by: his close friend Kathryn Garner Brewer; his adoptive children, James Downey (Martha) and Celeste Zink (Steven); his daughter-in-law Kim Vandermaden; his grandchildren, Lauren Tickner (David), Marsha Ousley and Haley Zink; his great grandchildren, Lacey, Xavier, Miles and Violet; and also Matthew Brewer. He is also survived by extended family and his friends.
