He is survived by: his parents, John R. and Marguarite Mettenburg (Jackel); his spouse Daisy Anne (Corson); his daughter Elizabeth Holman (Bill) of Otterville; his daughter-in-law Christina Mettenburg of Jamestown; his grandchildren, Brooke Holman, Tommy Holman, Kimmy Holman, Rachelle Mettenburg, Nathan Mettenburg and Audrey Mettenburg; his great grandchildren, Emma and Olivia; and his siblings, Alfred Mettenburg, Harold Mettenburg and Maggie Hoehns.
