He is survived by: his spouse Helen Louise Rugen; his children, Gene Seifert (Pat) and Rhonda Meyer (Jim) of Otterville; his sister Mary Valdez (Al) of Denver; and his grandchildren, Amber Meyer of Kansas City, Morgan Reynolds (Joe) of Lawrence, Jonathan Seifert of New Hampshire and Preston Seifert of Otterville.

Visitation will be held the evening before from 5 to 7 p.m. with Rosary beginning at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Otterville.Memorials for Edward R. Seifert are suggested to , St. Joseph Cemetery of Clifton City or a charity of donor's choice.
