He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Hughes and Viola Ruth Hughes (Peden); his sister Lois Sharon Sharp; his brother-in-law Dean Sharp; his nephew Darrin Sharp; his niece Leah Chapman; and his brother-in-law Gilbert Hundley.
He is survived by: his wife Karen; his daughter Kelly (John Cummins); his grandsons, Tim and Alan of Missouri City; his son Brad (Jackie Hughes); his grandchildren, Sarah and Travis of Osceola; his sister Janet (Rex Sharp) of Milton; and his sister-in-law Sharron Hundley of Clinton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
