He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Herfurth and Mathilda Haldiman Herfurth; and his sister Barbara Herfurth Moffitt. He is survived by: his wife Marjorie M Herfurth; his former wife Barbara A Silvers; his children, Kimberly Herfurth Ayscue of Franklinton, NC and J. Matthew Herfurth (Jeane) of Madison, MS.; his grandchildren, Michael, Andrew Boyle, Abbey and Grace Herfurth; his stepson Eric Maylee (Rachel); and his stepgranddaughter Grace of Monet, MO..
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts may be made to the Dogwood Animal Shelter.
