Delores Evelyn Utley Obituary
In loving memory of Delores Evelyn Utley of Osage Beach, Missouri, who departed this world on February 5, 2025 at the age of 85. Delores leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Marler and Mary Marler (Hicks); her husband James "Jim" Utley; her sons, Tim Utley (Sharon) and Steven Utley; her sisters, Pauline Elder, Jewell Davis-Ward, Virgie Baker and Beulah "Boots" Gobtop; and her brother-in-law Eugene "Shin" Baker.
She is survived by: her significant other Walter Lee; her brother Earl "Busse" Marler (Janis); her brother-in-law Bill Gobtop; her grandchildren, Mike (Emily), Joe (Chaiti), Stephanie (Jake) and Jeremy; her stepgrandchildren, Anthony, Audra and Mary; and her great grandchildren, Braxton, Jace, Kairi, Jayna and Lincoln.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home (400 N 6th St, Rochelle, IL 61068). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Lawnridge Cemetery.
In addition to her years of service to the grocer, she also found time for many kind gestures including charity work, volunteering to wrap Christmas presents at the local church, and donating to Toys for Tots among many other anonymous generous deeds.
