She is survived by: her husband Wesley Briggs; her children, Verna Pettit of Alba, Betty Kunce of Carthage and Wesley Briggs, Jr. of Webb City; her brother Ernest Bresee of Galena, Kansas; and her niece Naomi McGowen of Joplin. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
