He was predeceased by: his wife Rosalie Wales (Buettner); and his parents, Alvin Wales and Irene Pearl Wales (Grooms). He is survived by: his son Corey Wales (Shelley) of Raytown, MO; and his grandson Jackson Wales. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Gideons.
