She was predeceased by: her husband Martin J. Kalmes; her parents, Manuel Chazen and Mary Chazen; her sister Carol Chazen Friedman; and her sibling-in-law Jerry Schneider.

She is survived by: her sister-in-law Janet; her niece Laura Kreder (Rich); her great-niece Kayla; her great-nephew Josh Kreder; and also, Jarrett, Joseph and Carly.

Memorial contributions preferred to Stray Rescue, The Small Animal Hospital at the MU Veterinary Health Center and Open Door Animal Sanctuary.
