She was predeceased by: her spouse Kenneth Z. Cherry; her parents, Morris Steinberg and Dorothy Steinberg; her sibling-in-law Helen Kabak; and also Eugene Kabak.

She is survived by: her children-in-law, Maureen Cherry, Jill Leath (Derek) and David Cherry; her stepchildren, Mindy Vinton, Margee Kabak and Karen Berg; her grandchildren, Mackenzie Weiss, Alexandra Leath, Madison Weiss and Shelby Weiss; her siblings-in-law, Norma Cherry (late Marvin) and Rosalie Yakovitz (late Milton); her nieces and nephews, Elaine Young (David), Billie Klevens (Myron) and Mark Kabak (Carrie); and her cousins, The Jerome Cohen and The Stuart Radloff.
