He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Abraham Peters and Anna Peters; his close friend Melissa Kreishman; his wife Carrie Peters (Lee); his children, Mitchell Peters (Nisa) and Penny Peters (Todd Kelly); his brother Larry Peters (Dawn); his grandchildren, Tanner Peters (Julie), Connor Peters (Mary), Emily and Jack Kelly; his siblings, Stanley Peters, Milton Peters (Sylvia) and Joyce Peters; and also Betty Peters.

He always credited Jerome and his contribution to Army Reserve readiness cannot be minimized.
