He was predeceased by: his son David Katz; his son-in-law Daniel Katz (Ramey); his brothers, Benjamin Katz (late Carol) and Joel Katz (Adrienne); and his siblings-in-law, Stan Dobkin (Arleen) and Ilene Wisniewski (Terry).

He is survived by: his wife Diana Dobkin Katz; and his granddaughter Ava Katz.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Berger Memorial Chapel (9430 Olive Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63132). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
