He is survived by: his children, Cindy Shapiro (Lon), Brad Emert, Todd Emert (late Julia Sheade) of Chicago and Julie Yawitz (Greg); his grandchildren, Adam Shapiro (Samantha), Robert Shapiro (Leah), Kylee Emert, Amy Shapiro (Jake Weinstein), Courtney Emert, Craig Emert, Alyson Yawitz and Kaitlyn Yawitz; his great grandchildren, Hudson, Sloane and Reagan; his siblings, Florence Kootman (late Phil) and Harvey Emert (Gail); and his girlfriend Irene Fox.
