He was predeceased by: his spouse Kamala Thuraiappah Chellar; his parents, Bastiampillai Arulanantham Chellar and Navamany Mary Mildred Bastiampillai; and his brother William. He is survived by: his daughters, Dr. Rochelle Cox (Daniel) and Chantal Byrne (Robert); his grandchildren, Callista, Kyle, Dylan, Alexandra Cox, Aidan, Gavin and Ellery Byrne; and his siblings, Marcella, George, Matthew, Shirley, Clarence, Edwin, Rita, Peter and Bernard.
