With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Burton Joel Wilner (Olivette, Missouri), born in Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on December 23, 2018. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Dorie; his sister Mildred Freedman; and his nephew Ricky Bain. He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey Wilner (Patricia) and Keith Wilner; his granddaughters, Amy Beno (Chuck) and Tracy Eckert (Joel); his great grandchildren, John, Joshua, Jacob Beno, Anna and Isaiah Eckert; and his nephews, Steve, Mike Bain, Lewis, Irving and Paul Freedman.

He was often seen outside local grocery stores with his beloved golden retrievers collecting donations for the St. Louis Humane Society.
