He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jessie Patzius Hirsch; his stepchildren, Lebert Patzius (Sharon), Steven Patzius, Meco Patzius (Patty), Ken Hirsch (Scott) and Kevin Patzius (Kristie); and his sisters, Judith Kunstler and Linda Kamen (Jonathan).

Memorial contributions preferred to the Jessie Rae Hirsch Endowed Scholarship Fund at St. Louis Community College.
