He was predeceased by: his niece Julie. He is survived by: his son Herle (Edna Belle Gardner); his wife Sue Pruett; his children, Tim Gardner (Marcella), Terri Holt (Leon) and Sheila Hampton (Jeff); his grandchildren, Chase Hampton (Jenna), Devin Hampton (Kayla), Kenzie Garner (Kenyon), Patrick Holt (Brooke), Clay Gardner (Baelee), Casie Hoerman (Grant), Tommy Maggard (Heather), Derek Maggard (Cassie) and Andrea Wilson; and his siblings, Bob Gardner, Ben Gardner (Judy), Don Gardner (Nancy) and Sherry Goins (Eddie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other caring relatives.

The family suggests donations be made to Fair Haven Children's Home, 3132 N. Fair Haven Loop, Strafford, Missouri 65757.
