He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Johnny Fry Sr., Frances Earle and David Earle. He is survived by: his father Johnny Fry; his grandmother Shirley "MeMe" Fry; his mother Lynne Earle (Andre Salmon); his wife Emily Fry; his children, Avyanna, Roman, Grant, Ryan and Jackson; his sister Alia Ong (Kevin); his nephews, Terrence and Jasper; his cousin Jill McNairy (James); and also Jeanette. He is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to support the future educational needs of Gavin's children, Avyanna and his upcoming baby son.
