He was predeceased by: his spouse Velma Estelle Smith; his parent Lawrence E.; and his siblings, Pansy McNees (late Ira), Irma Wilson (late Stanley), Lillie Hughes (late Calivin), Janet Parker (late Junior), Regina Yates (late Keith), Don Smith and Katie Smith.
He is survived by: his parent Myrtle Smith; his children, Debora Long (Ron), Karen Jaycox (Mike) and Kimberly Johnston (Darrell); his grandchildren, Robert Long (Brandy), Michelle Cooper, Bryan Jaycox, Scott Long, Jaime Navarro, Brett Johnston (Stacie) and Brook Johnston; his great grandchildren, Jaclyn, Brianna, Devlin, Brittany, Jayden, Alison, Lex, Liberty, Hunter, Marvel, Gunner and Lynlee; his sibling Dorothy Peel (Red); and his sibling-in-law Laverne Smith.
