He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Clifton and Ruby Louise Strain (Johnson); and his siblings, Kathryn Gielser and Kent Strain. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Backues; his sons, Paul Strain of O'Fallon, Corey Strain (Amber) of O'Fallon and Justin Strain of O'Fallon; his grandchildren, Mikayla Yeakey, Tanner Strain, Peyton Strain, Jackson Strain and Mia Strain; and his siblings, Doyle Strain (Joyce) of Ferguson, Joyce Dotson (Bob) of Belle and Debra Jett (Macey) of Holts Summit. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Bill was a very generous and giving man and donated to the St. Jude Children's Hospital every month.
