She was predeceased by: her husband Mark L. Overmann Sr.; her parents, Conrad Sliepen and Loretta Sliepen; her brother-in-law Rev. William Overmann; and her friend Loretta Niemeyer.

She is survived by: her children, Mark L. Overmann Jr. (Debbie), Roberta Marks (Mitchell), Christopher Overmann (Barbara) and Theresa Basler (Craig); her grandchildren, Melissa, Kyle (Meredith), Corey, Emily (Jack), Megan, Connor, Alec (Crystal), Alyssa, Andi (Jalah), Elijah and Nathan; and her sisters-in-law, Rose Merchant (Stuart), Carolyn Southard (late Chester) and Christine Overmann (late Richard).

Memorials may be made in Barbara's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
