He is survived by : his wife Annetta Thompson; his sons, Shawn (Glenda) of Warsaw and Brandon (Jennifer) of Minneapolis, Minnesota.; his granddaughter Amber Wright (Tim) of Odessa; his great grandchild Quinn; his grandson Alex Higginbotham of Kansas City, MO; and his sister Carolyn Crabtree (Robert) of Odessa. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19 the family has planned a private graveside service at Mount Tabor Cemetery in Odessa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mount Tabor United Methodist Church or Mount Tabor Cemetery.
