He was predeceased by : his parents, Vernon Baker and Mamie Baker (Cook); his son Mark Baker; his grandson Christopher Morton; and his brothers, James and Vernon Baker.

He is survived by : his former life partner Carla S. Howard; his wife Carla Baker of Odessa, MO; and his children, Debra Geiman, Sandra Tocky of Carrollton, TX, Barbara Morton (Larry), Lynora Darden (Gerald) of Odessa, MO and John Anderson of Houston, TX. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
