He was predeceased by: his parents, William Roy and Iva Wheeler (Simms); his son Roy Eugene Wheeler; and his siblings, Helen Hartung, Earl Wheeler, J. B. Wheeler, William Wheeler, Buddy Wheeler and John Wheeler.
He is survived by: his friend Cecil; his wife Wilma Wheeler of Odessa, MO; his children, Robert Earl Wheeler of Tequesta, FL, Sandy Alarcon of Kansas City, MO, Katherine Louise Wheeler and Athena Jean Sharp (Kenneth) of Mendon, MO; and his children-in-law, Giovanni Alarcon and Sally Wheeler. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
