He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas Cecil Retherford and Mattie Katherine Calhoun; his wife Marilyn Rose Bahr; and his children, Mary Freeman (Virgil), David Retherford (Jackie), Evelyn Gilliland (Barry) and Mark Retherford (Barb). He was also cherished by his wife of 67 years, his 4 children, 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild; 1 brother, 4 sisters-in-law, and 1 brother-in-law.
A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (208 S Hope St, Jackson, MO 63755). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
