She was predeceased by: her parents, John Newell and Dessie Welker Newell; and her brothers, Adam Newell (late Bert) and Terry Lane Newell. She is survived by: her son Michael; her daughter-in-law Tonya Kester of Millersville; her siblings, Charles "Chock" Newell (Carma "Peg") of Jackson, Carl Newell (Janice) of Jackson, Les Newell (Laverne) of Jackson, Gene Newell (Betty "Beth") of Jackson, Johnny Newell (Cheryl), Randy Newell (Joyce) of Oak Ridge, Lyman Verdell Newell (Marie) of Webster Groves, Missouri, Aline Poe (late Bob) of Jackson, Karen Eakers (Scott) of Jackson, Pauline Kimbel (late Benny) of Jackson and Patsy Pulliam (late Don) of Jackson; and her grandchildren, Cody Kester (Ashleigh) of Webster Groves and Allison Kester of St. Louis.
