He was predeceased by: his parents, James Albert and Kathryn Mahala Wright Brassfield. He is survived by: his daughter Kristina Alvarez of Des Moines, Iowa; and his siblings, David Brassfield of Novinger, Missouri, Jamie Ashby of Murray, Allison Jensen of Greene and Kellie Flanery of Panora, Iowa.
