Though Ralph Vernon has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Carey and Luella Carey; his brother Richard Carey; and his son Curtis D. Carey. He is survived by: his wife Shirley D. Carey; his sons, Keith L. Carey (Sherry), Kevin L. Carey (Debra) and Michael J. Carey (Deanna); and his daughter-in-law Vinita Carey. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the White Chapel Funeral Home (6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
