It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Marie (Moore, Sappenfield) Creason of Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on November 27, 1998, at the age of 57, Born on March 23, 1941, Karen lived a life full of generosity, service, and deep devotion to her family.
Karen was a proud graduate of North Kansas City High School, based on East 23rd Avenue, North Kansas City, MO, where she completed her education in 1959. Her intelligence and strength of character were evident, even at a young age.
A fervent believer and church attendee at K.C., Mo., Karen's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She not only lived out her principles within her personal life, but also in her extended community. Karen unselfishly dedicated her time and energy as a volunteer at Safehaven Home for Abused Women, a clear testament to her compassionate nature.
She was also a proud member of the Clay County Democratic Club, where she actively contributed to her community. Karen’s passion, dedication, and commitment to making a difference were evident in all she did.
Her legacy as a devoted mother and grandmother will continue to live on through her daughters, Tina Mylius and Dana Chociej. They remember her, not just as a mother, but as their guiding light and best friend. Karen was predeceased by her son, John Sappenfield, whose memory she upheld throughout her life.
While we mourn the loss of a formidable woman, we also celebrate her life, her accomplishments, and the amazing person she was. May her soul rest in peace as we remember her love, her warmth, and the deep connections she fostered with all who were privileged to know her.
