It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Ray Merchant of North Kansas City, Missouri, born in San Antonio, Texas, who passed away on February 3, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eule Merchant and Ruby Merchant. He is survived by: his children, Sandra Hughes (John) and John William Merchant; his grandchildren, Kelly Harrison-Hughes (Jancy) and Max Merchant; his great grandchildren, Kemper, Cooper and Knox; and his nieces, Sheri Frazier, Sue Rathbone and Linda Koechner (Gene). He is also survived by many extended family and close friends.
