It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia Lavon Brooks of Nixa, Missouri, born in Augusta, Kansas, who passed away on July 16, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Schlegal and Doris Schlegal (Ruggles); her son Thomas Benjamin Brooks; and her daughter-in-law Christine Brooks. She is survived by: her son Rick Brooks; her daughter-in-law Rhonda Sherman; her sister Treva Shoemaker; and her grandson Josh Hessling.
