He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Wightman and Nell Wightman (Blish); and his former wife Eleanor. He is survived by: his wife Mary; and his children, Pam Borror of Springfield, Cheri Couture (Steve) of Millbury, MA, Julie DeSirey (Mike) of Dardenne Prairie and John Wightman (Jami) of Nixa. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
