He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Burns and Mildred Burns (Rielly); and his brother Patrick Burns. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Burns; his children, Timothy Burns (Loretta "Ann") of Ozark, Alice Irene Ault (David James) of Minnesota and Christina Rita Haustein (Paul Matthew) of Ozark; his grandsons, Jess Bryan and Devon James Richards; and his sister Mary Burns Jaster of Anthony, Arizona..

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to be made to any pet rescue or veteran's organization.
