She is survived by: her husband Randall Hemphill; her children, Gene Dollar (Delvina) and Randa Hemphill Moore (Scott); her grandchildren, Marcus Kitchens, Brandon Moore and Haven Dawn Dollar; and her siblings, Lloyd B. DeWoody, Mary Lou Ayers, Renee Bloom (Skip), James Ayers (Tina), Linda Wood (Richard), Tom Ayers, Penny White (John), Lisa Wait (Robert) and Sonia Clarke (Derek). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

“I am so heartbroken to hear about Ramona’s passing. She and I met in 1967 in the 7th grade at Hardy Jr. High School in Jackson, MS and became fast friends. She was a sweet and fun person and a dear friend. We lost touch over the years, but I learned much later that her younger sister, Penny White, was a member of my church! Very small world! Ramona, although I didn’t know you long before we lost touch, I will miss you, my sweet friend ❤️. Charlotte Sullivan Hutchison—school friend”
