He is survived by: his wife Janet Sue Mills (Crawford); his children, Charles Preston Mills of Nixa, Samuel Ryan Mills of Washington and April Renee Loehr (Steven) of Nixa; his grandchildren, Scarlett, Shaeley, Stella and Saige Loehr; and his siblings, Oscar Philip Mills, Jr. (Sonja) of Hudson Oaks, Patrick Lewis Mills (Norma) of Lake Ozark, Paula Fay Lierheimer (Steve) of Mexico and Penny Lynn Westfall of Mexico, Missouri.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
