We are sad to announce that on January 22, 2021, at the age of 95, Martha Flett Vaughn Scates of Nixa, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward A. Flett and Martha J. Flett (Reddick); her former husbands, Carl F. Vaughn and Charles R. Turner; her husband L. Keith Scates; and her siblings, Edna Millsap (Herschel), Mary Jane, Harold Flett (Leona), James Flett (Nadine), Maurice Flett (Patricia), Paul Flett (Lenora), Lowell Flett (Grace) and Glen Flett (Margarette).
She is survived by: her daughters, Nila Hayes (Everett) of Springfield, MO. and Carla Bishop (John) of Springfield, MO.; her stepchildren, Mark Scates, David Scates, Sherry Shaw of Oklahoma and Mickie Turner of Arizona; her grandchildren, Amanda Woolf Demster (Brandon Wise), Michael Hayes (Marcie) and Mark Hayes (Sara); her great grandchildren, Ainsley Demster and Addison Hayes; and her siblings-in-law, Fleda Litty (Jake), Betty Ellis (Jess), Albert Lee Vaughn (Anna) and Joe Turner, Jr. (Kenneth Scates). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
