He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward DeGroot and Edna Mae DeGroot (Dykhuizen); and his brother Robert Benjamin DeGroot. He is survived by: his wife Joyce DeGroot; and his children, Lori (Butch Stuckert), Cheryl (Doug Gabriel), Christine (Dan Nuckolls) and Steve (Cheryl DeGroot). He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
