James Robert Johnston Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 6, 2022, at the age of 82, James Robert Johnston of Nixa, Missouri, born in Bee Branch, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arthur Johnston and Ivar Johnston (Leslie); his wife Johnnie Johnston (Sims); his children, Jan Johnston-Taylor (Charles) of Springfield, MO and Jeff Johnston (Laurabeth); his grandchildren, Megan Bailey (Brett) of Springfield, Kelsey Mork (Mat), Kolby Keller (Johnny) of Newport News, VA and Sam Johnston (Allison); and his great grandchildren, Blake Mork, Nolan Bailey and James Mork.
Special appreciation goes to the amazing staff at Mercy in Springfield, Mo, especially Dr. Shah, the McKenzies on both the day night shifts, Chaplain Chelsea and the entire COVID ward.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to scholarship fund set up in Jim's honor with Amstaff Bank in Green Forrest, AR.
