He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Kohler and Ann Kohler (Berry); his brother Melvin "Bud"; and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Kohler and Roger Decker.
He is survived by: his wife Janice; his son James Kohler (Jessica); his grandchildren, Chase Roland Kohler, Landon Michael Kohler and Brooklyn Mae Kohler; and his sister Lois Decker.
