He is survived by: his siblings, Albert Hurt of Peoria and Carolyn Hurt of Springfield, MO.; his daughter Sandra Spinelli; his grandchildren, Doyle "Wayne" Hurt Jr., Christopher Patton, Kyron Patton, Karlye Thornhill, Caleb Hurt and Cody Hurt; and his great grandchildren, Kinley Thornhill, Layla Patton, Hudson Patton and Braelynn Patton.

The family suggests memorial contributions in Doyle's name be made to a veterans charity of your choice or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
