She was predeceased by: her parents, William Dedmon and Gertrude Dedmon; her daughter Becky; her husband Ralph; and her siblings, Victor, Bill and Gwen.
She is survived by: her daughter Vicki Arterberry; her son-in-law Jerry Vaughan; and her grandchildren, Mark Arterberry, Michael Arterberry, Todd Vaughan (Denise), Tammy Ward (Brad), Scott Vaughan, Stephanie Roe (Steve) and Debi Augustine (Andy). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, two nephews and two nieces.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Dorothy's name can be made out to her church, Schweitzer Methodist Church.
