He is survived by: his wife Clara Haas; and his children, Edward Haas Jr. (Sheri), Martin Haas (Janis), Michael Haas (Colleen) of Salem, VA, Mary DeSantis (Michael) of Columbia, MO, Susan Zilke and Nancy Gamache (Tony). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

“I was saddened to hear of Ed's passing. My condolences to his family. In the 70's and 80's I lived with my family in the Paddock Forest subdivision. Ed and Clara also lived there with their family. It was happy time for everyone. Transfiguration Church and school was there, the bath and tennis club, riding trails - in all an idyllic setting for raising children. The Haas's were participants in many local social events and my wife enjoyed their company. Once more, condolences from the Spences.”
