She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Shelby and Violet Shelby; her husband Leland Oral Phillips; and her brother Mitchell Shelby (Karen). She is survived by: her children, Leland "Leebo" Phillips of Boonville, Missouri, Craig Phillips of New Madrid, Kari Beussink (Duane) of Cape Girardeau and Whitney Caton (Sabe) of Boonville; her daughter-in-law Amy Preyer (Mark) of Kennett; her brother Terry Shelby (Kay) of Sikeston; her grandchildren, Jake Phillips (Lydia) of Dexter, Drew Beussink of New Haven, Connecticut, Emma Phillips of Little Rock, Arkansas, Bailey Beussink of Columbia, Missouri, Audrey Phillips of Kennett, Colby, Mabry, Crosby Caton of Boonville and Paige; and her great grandchild Reign Phillips of Dexter.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the New Madrid Baptist Church (1240 Scott St, New Madrid, MO 63869). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
